Join Professor John Hallwas’s discussion of the famous Carl Sandburg’s perspective on Chicago more than a century ago. Discover how Sandburg’s works relate to the need for fostering a sense of place or community-which remains a crucial matter for towns and counties today. Professor Hallwas has written about more than a hundred Illinois authors, including an introduction in the modern edition of Carl Sandburg’s Chicago Poems.
