Relics of the Chicago, Aurora, and Elgin Railway

In this presentation, Brian and Joyce Ostberg (BeHistoric) will discuss what remains of the Chicago, Aurora and Elgin Railway, over its former right-of-way, which includes most of the present day Illinois Prairie Path and Fox River Trails, including remaining stations, substations, bridges, and overpasses. We will also describe how to find the many remaining artifacts of this bygone railway along the sixty plus miles of the Illinois Prairie Path.
