HOPtober Fest brews up fall fun at Wheaton’s Memorial Park Sept. 28
New event supporting the DuPage County Historical Museum will feature beer, cider and seltzer sampling plus live music and fall eats
WHEATON—Beer and fall brew fans, rejoice! All of the fun of the Wheaton Park District’s summer Brew & Seltzer Fest is moving to an all-NEW fall event, HOPtober Fest, happening Saturday, Sept. 28, in Wheaton’s Memorial Park.
More than 20 beers, ciders and seltzers will be available for sampling at this special event, with proceeds from ticket sales going to the DuPage County Historical Museum in downtown Wheaton. HOPtober Fest attendees will enjoy live music from 7th heaven and Karla and the Phat Kats; favorite fall eats also will be available for purchase.
HOPtober Fest runs from 1-5 p.m. inside Memorial Park, located at 225 Karlskoga Ave. in Wheaton. Advance tickets for this 21+ event are available online for $45 per person, $20 for designated drivers. Tickets also can be purchased at the event for $50 per person, $25 for designated drivers. All guests must have a valid ID for entry.
“We are so excited to debut HOPtober Fest in the park district’s beautiful Memorial Park this September,” says Kaitlin Lizik, annual giving and events manager at the Wheaton Park District. “What could be better on an early fall afternoon than strolling through Memorial Park with friends while sampling a selection of favorite and new-to-you brews?”
Besides offering an enticing way to celebrate the start of fall, HOPtober Fest will mark the final special event of the 2024 season at Memorial Park. “We’ll be saying cheers to a new season and toasting another great year of programming at Memorial Park,” Lizik says. “Before Halloween festivities begin and chillier temperatures set in, we get to savor one more Saturday in the park.”
HOPtober Fest is hosted by the DuPage County Historical Museum Foundation. The presenting sponsor is the DuPage Foundation’s History DuPage Fund; additional support is provided by sponsors FirstService Residential, Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet and Wheaton Orthodontic Center.
