A History of the Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railway

Saturday, August 26 | 1P | Community Center – Atten Room 222 | FREE

In this presentation, Brian and Joyce Ostberg (BeHistoric) will explore the history of the Chicago, Aurora, and Elgin Railway being one of the first, largest scale, and fastest electric railways in the early 1900s. They will describe how the railway evolved over the decades, how it ultimately failed by the middle of the 20th century, and how its legacy is still with us today.
