DuPage County Historical Museum has a full exhibit & event schedule planned for 2026

WHEATON–The DuPage County Historical Museum has a full line up of new events planned for 2026 that include Trivia Night: Americana on March 6, Sacred Spaces Bus Tour on May 15, Preview Brunch for Route 66 on August 15 and Night at the Museum on October 2. Current and upcoming exhibits include Cabinet of Curiosities, which is open now through May, Defining US: The 250th Anniversary of the United States opening on July 15, and our pop up exhibit on Route 66 titled The Mother Road & Iconic Firsts which is open August 15 to November 14.

Supporting organizations include DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau for their partnership with the Route 66 exhibit and Arts DuPage, a DuPage Foundation initiative and the History DuPage Fund of DuPage Foundation who provided grant funding to the Museum for the 2026 exhibits and related programming.

The Trivia Night: Americana event will be a fun evening filled with challenging guests about American history and pop culture facts. This 21 and over event will include a cash bar will be available along with snacks. Tickets are available now for $200 per team or individually for $40.00 plus processing fee.

The Sacred Spaces Bus Tour will take participants on a journey through DuPage County exploring a variety of beautiful and meaningful Houses of Worship. Tickets for Sacred Spaces Tour, Preview Brunch for Route 66 and Night at the Museum will be available soon at dupagemuseum.org

The DuPage County Historical Museum, which operates as a facility of the Wheaton Park District, is housed in a stately Richardsonian Romanesque-style building that opened in 1891 as Adams Memorial Library. It is home to more than 40,000 artifacts and a photography archive of more than 10,000 images.

The Museum is free to the public and open Monday – Friday from 8:30A to 4:30P and on weekends from noon to 4P.
